النخيلُ هنا وُضِعتْ وَقفاً كذلكَ على إمامِ المسجدِ والمشايخِ منْ مأكلٍ ومشربٍ ورواتبَ، حتى الغرباءُ في أشيقر، لهُم مكانٌ منَ الوَقف، حيثُ توجدُ غرفةٌ خاصةٌ باستضافتِهم وإيوائِهم إلى حينِ شَدِّ الرِحالِ منْ جديد.
يُعرَفُ المسجدُ بأكثرَ منْ فضاءٍ للصلاة؛ المصلَّى الداخلي، والمصلَّى الخارجيّ، ومصلَّى تحتَ الأرضِ يسمَّى الخلوةَ، يكونُ أكثرَ دِفئاً، تمَّ تصميمُه خصيصاً للصلاةِ في فصلِ الشتاء
